Ingredients

Scale

Meat and Seasoning

  • ½ pound ground beef
  • ½ packet taco seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons water

Nacho Base

  • 4 cups tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup sliced pickled jalapenos (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ cup sliced black olives (adjust to taste)

Toppings

  • Sour cream
  • Pico de gallo
  • Guacamole

Instructions

  1. Cook the Ground Beef: Add the ground beef to a skillet and cook over medium heat, breaking the meat up with a spatula as it cooks until fully browned.
  2. Season the Beef: Drain excess grease from the skillet, then add 2 tablespoons of water and ½ packet of taco seasoning. Stir occasionally and cook for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens and the flavors meld.
  3. Prepare the Air Fryer Basket: Line the bottom of your air fryer basket with parchment paper or foil, making sure it rises up two sides to allow easy removal of the nachos after cooking.
  4. Assemble the Nachos: Start by arranging a layer of tortilla chips on the bottom of the basket. Spoon dollops of cooked ground beef, sprinkle shredded cheddar, jalapenos, and black olives evenly over the chips. Repeat the layering process 1 to 2 more times to build a stacked effect.
  5. Air Fry the Nachos: Set the air fryer to 330°F (165°C) and cook the stacked nachos for about 5 minutes or until the cheddar cheese has fully melted and the toppings are heated through.
  6. Remove and Serve: Carefully lift the parchment or foil with the nachos out of the basket. Transfer to a serving plate, then top with your favorite toppings such as sour cream, pico de gallo, and guacamole while still hot.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of jalapenos and olives based on your taste preferences.
  • For easier cleanup, lining the air fryer basket is recommended.
  • If you prefer, you can use beef alternatives like ground turkey or plant-based crumbles.
  • Make sure to use an air fryer-safe parchment or foil and avoid covering the entire basket bottom to allow proper air circulation.
  • Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
