Salmon
- 4 salmon fillets (5–6 ounces each)
Cheese Mixture
- 1 round of Boursin cheese (5.2 oz), garlic & fine herbs
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter, divided
Seasoning
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the salmon evenly.
- Prepare Baking Dish: Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper to prevent the salmon from sticking during baking.
- Make Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, combine the Boursin cheese, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, and half of the olive oil. Mix until the ingredients form a smooth, creamy mixture.
- Season Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Drizzle the remaining olive oil over them and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Assemble Fillets: Place the salmon fillets in the baking dish skin-side down if they have skin. Evenly spread the prepared Boursin cheese mixture over the top of each fillet.
- Bake Salmon: Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F. The cheese topping should be slightly golden and bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove the salmon from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley before serving for a burst of freshness and color.
Notes
- You can substitute olive oil with melted butter for a richer flavor.
- Check salmon doneness with a food thermometer to avoid overcooking.
- Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad for a balanced meal.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated and enjoyed cold or reheated gently.
