Ingredients

Scale

Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets (56 ounces each)

Cheese Mixture

  • 1 round of Boursin cheese (5.2 oz), garlic & fine herbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter, divided

Seasoning

  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the salmon evenly.
  2. Prepare Baking Dish: Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper to prevent the salmon from sticking during baking.
  3. Make Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, combine the Boursin cheese, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, and half of the olive oil. Mix until the ingredients form a smooth, creamy mixture.
  4. Season Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Drizzle the remaining olive oil over them and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Assemble Fillets: Place the salmon fillets in the baking dish skin-side down if they have skin. Evenly spread the prepared Boursin cheese mixture over the top of each fillet.
  6. Bake Salmon: Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F. The cheese topping should be slightly golden and bubbly.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Remove the salmon from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley before serving for a burst of freshness and color.

Notes

  • You can substitute olive oil with melted butter for a richer flavor.
  • Check salmon doneness with a food thermometer to avoid overcooking.
  • Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad for a balanced meal.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and enjoyed cold or reheated gently.
