Crab Filling
- 1 cup lump crab meat (fresh or canned)
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
Dough
- 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the bites.
- Mix Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, lump crab meat, chopped green onions, and Old Bay seasoning. Mix thoroughly until well-blended for a creamy and flavorful filling.
- Prepare Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles as per the package instructions.
- Assemble Bites: Place a spoonful of the crab mixture onto each dough triangle. Fold the corners of the triangle towards the center to enclose the filling, creating little pockets.
- Bake: Arrange the filled crescent bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let the bites cool slightly before serving warm for the best taste experience.
Notes
- Use fresh lump crab meat for best flavor, but canned works well for convenience.
- Adjust Old Bay seasoning to taste if you prefer a spicier or milder bite.
- These bites can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
- Serve with cocktail sauce, tartar sauce, or a squeeze of lemon for added zest.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
