Ingredients

Scale

Dough Ingredients

  • 1 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt (0% fat)
  • 1 cup self-rising flour

Pizza Toppings

  • ⅓ cup tomato sauce (or more, to taste)
  • Desired amount of cheese (mozzarella recommended)
  • Optional toppings of your choice (pepperoni, vegetables, herbs, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (about 200 degrees C) to ensure it’s ready to bake your pizza crust once prepared.
  2. Mix Dough: In a large mixing bowl, stir together 1 cup of nonfat plain Greek yogurt with 1 cup of self-rising flour until the mixture is mostly homogeneous and forms a sticky dough.
  3. Knead Dough: Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead it gently with your hands until it comes together into a smooth ball, about 2 to 4 minutes. Avoid over-kneading to keep the dough tender.
  4. Shape Crust: Either roll the dough into one 10-inch pizza crust or divide the dough into two smaller 5-inch rounds for personal pizzas. Use a rolling pin to flatten the dough evenly and then transfer it onto one or two pizza pans lined with parchment paper.
  5. Add Toppings: Spread about ⅓ cup of your favorite tomato sauce evenly over the dough, then sprinkle with your desired amount of cheese and add any additional toppings you like.
  6. Bake Pizza: Place the pizza(s) in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown on the edges, the cheese is melted and bubbly, and toppings are cooked through.
  7. Serve: Remove from oven, let cool slightly, slice, and enjoy your quick homemade no yeast pizza!

Notes

  • You can substitute self-rising flour with all-purpose flour by adding 1½ teaspoons of baking powder and ½ teaspoon of salt per cup of flour.
  • Use full-fat Greek yogurt for a richer crust, or plant-based yogurt to make it dairy-free (note: texture may vary).
  • Do not over-knead the dough to prevent it from becoming tough.
  • If the dough is too sticky, sprinkle a little more flour when kneading and rolling.
  • This dough works best for thin to medium thickness pizza crusts.
  • Store leftover dough tightly wrapped in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
