Ingredients

Scale

Matcha Mixture

  • 3 tbsp hot water
  • 1 ½ tsp pure matcha powder
  • 1 cup milk of choice (2% milk recommended)

Cold Foam

  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp raspberry syrup
  • 1 tbsp whole milk

Strawberry Puree

  • ¼ cup chopped fresh strawberries
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cold water

Instructions

  1. Prepare Matcha: Add the 3 tablespoons of water to a microwave-safe jar or glass and heat until boiling, about 30-45 seconds in the microwave. Sift 1 ½ teaspoons of pure matcha powder into the hot water, removing any clumps. Whisk the matcha and hot water vigorously until smooth and slightly foamy. Stir in 1 cup of milk of your choice, then set aside.
  2. Make Cold Foam: In a small glass or jar, combine 2 tablespoons of heavy cream, 2 tablespoons of raspberry syrup, and 1 tablespoon of whole milk. Use a milk frother to froth the mixture for 20-30 seconds until it becomes airy and foamy. Set aside for topping.
  3. Blend Strawberry Puree: Place ¼ cup of chopped fresh strawberries, 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar, and 1 tablespoon of cold water into a high-speed blender. Blend until smooth to create the strawberry puree.
  4. Assemble the Drink: Pour the strawberry puree into a serving glass and add ice as desired. Slowly pour the matcha milk mixture over the strawberry layer to create a visual layer effect. Finish by spooning the raspberry cold foam on top. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use pure matcha powder for the best flavor and bright green color.
  • Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of raspberry syrup and sugar in the puree.
  • Substitute milk with any preferred plant-based milk for a dairy-free option, but frothing might differ.
  • Serve immediately for the best layered visual and fresh flavor.
  • Use cold water to blend strawberries for a smooth puree without warming.
