Ingredients

Scale

Crust:

  • 22 regular Oreo cookies
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Ganache:

  • 3/4 cup heavy cream (for ganache)
  • 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, coarsely chopped

Filling:

  • 1 cup heavy cream, cold (for filling)
  • 8 ounces full-fat brick cream cheese, softened
  • 1 and 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Optional Topping/Garnish:

  • Whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup Reese’s Pieces, crushed
  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Process the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor. Mix the crumbs thoroughly with the melted butter until evenly combined. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a pie dish. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and allow it to cool completely before filling.
  2. Make the ganache: Heat 3/4 cup of heavy cream in a small saucepan until it just begins to boil. Pour the hot cream over the coarsely chopped semi-sweet chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Let it sit for a few minutes, then stir gently until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Allow the ganache to cool to room temperature.
  3. Prepare the filling: Using a mixer, beat the cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form. In a separate large bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, creamy peanut butter, confectioners’ sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture, being careful not to deflate the airy texture.
  4. Assemble the pie: Spread the creamy peanut butter filling evenly over the cooled Oreo crust. Carefully pour the cooled chocolate ganache on top of the filling, spreading gently to cover the entire surface. Cover the pie and chill it in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours or preferably overnight to let all the flavors meld and the pie to set firmly.
  5. Add final touches and serve: Just before serving, garnish the pie with optional whipped cream, crushed Reese’s Pieces, and chopped peanuts for added texture and flavor. Slice and enjoy this rich, creamy peanut butter chocolate dessert!

Notes

  • For best results, soften the cream cheese to room temperature prior to mixing.
  • Use full-fat ingredients for the creamiest filling and richest flavor.
  • Chilling overnight enhances the texture and flavor development.
  • Slice with a warm, wet knife to get clean slices.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
